Stare – A Poem

Hi everyone!

Happy Saturday. I’m getting some reading done this weekend. I have two books by Cameo Renae that I’ve promised to read and review, along with an ARC of The Savior’s Champion by Jenna Moreci to finish in preparation for her release day. I am behind on my book reviews, but I promise they are coming. 😁

I have another poem for you today. Writing really helped when my mom was struggling with cancer, and this was written during that time.

Stare
Stare into the eyes of
an incurable disease.
Horror of agony begins,
residing in nightmares.

Stare into the soul of
this frightening prospect.
Hauling grief and guilt,
leaving no hope behind.

Stare into the heart of
all that you could lose.
Realize this isn’t a dream,
you are wide awake.
