Review:
Jo Michaels is an auto-buy author for me. I’ve absolutely loved every novel I’ve read by her and Vanquished is no different. She has a knack for creating brilliantly deep characters and unique plots that keep you hooked from beginning to end.
Vanquished is a paranormal romance featuring an angel and a vampire. I’ve read quite a few vampire stories and I don’t think I’ve ever read one like this. The pacing was fantastic. I had trouble putting this one down.
The characters, Victoria and Vance are realistic, relatable, and believable. Their love story is what you want when you pick up a PNR. There’s no instalove, just true, honest feelings with lots of mayhem thrown in in this high stakes quest they are on.
I highly recommend Vanquished if you’re a PNR fan. This is how they should be written. Jo Michaels is a fantastic author and if you haven’t read her work, now is a good time to start!
