DI Hunter Wilson never has just one problem to solve.
Three elderly women he knows have died in mysterious circumstances. Hunter appears to be the only link.
A little girl goes missing on a cold winter’s night. When his team discovers cocaine hidden at the farm where she was living, the search becomes even more urgent.
Why did the women die? And what did the child witness?
Hunter must find the answers to these questions to ensure his family and his city are safe.
Val Penny is one of my favorite authors and she is an auto-buy for me. So, when the opportunity to continue on in the Edinburgh Crime Mysteries series with Hunter’s Blood came up, I immediately jumped at the chance.
As I predicted, Val Penny has done it again. Hunter is thrown into another well plotted mystery that had my head spinning. It feels authentic and realistic, because the author does her research and creates an awesome police procedural.
You can read these novels as standalones, but my suggestion is to read them all. Val Penny‘s writing is imaginative and visually appealing. Her characters are realistic and her plotlines are full of awesome twists and turns.
Hunter’s Blood was a fantastic addition to the series. I love the mystery and how it came together. This was an easy five stars to give. Highly recommended.
