Review:
I went into The Disharmony of Silence a bit blind. The cover caught my eye and the title of the book made me curious. I read a bit of the blurb, but otherwise, just started reading. Man, was I impressed! I read this in one sitting.
Linda Rosen‘s writing is beautiful. This story is about secrets and how they impact families through generations. This is the story of Lena and Carolyn, told in alternating time lines. What is wonderful to me is that this doesn’t get confusing. This is always a writing device I worried about when I see it in novels, but Linda Rosen handles it with ease. The plot does slow a little at time, but I was still captivated.
The characters of Lena and Carolyn are believable. I enjoyed their stories and how everything came together.
The Disharmony of Silence is definitely a book that deserves to be read. Check it out.
