Review:
Val Penny is one of the first authors I was introduced to when I first started book blogging. I have read most of her books, so when The First Cut was available for review, I jumped at the chance. As usual, she doesn’t disappoint!
The First Cut stars DI Jane Renwick. I absolutely love this character. She is feisty and smart, with with whole lot of courage. However, she has quite the past that has come back to haunt her. Val Penny creates believable characters that are well rounded and drive the plot forward.
An excellent police procedural that gives the reader a puzzle that is not easy to solve. Top notch writing and characters, The First Cut deserves all the stars. I highly recommend it!
