A sinister cook, a cursed cake, and a casual dinner between neighbours that goes murderously wrong.
This debut collection of dark tales and recipes by Karmen Špiljak ascends the jagged culinary heights you’ve hungered to explore but could never find on a map. As the characters swoon over every unforgettable mouthful, and sometimes bite off more than they can chew, you’ll find yourself asking: What would I be willing to pay for the meal of a lifetime?
If feasting on culinary noir leaves you hungry, extend your pleasure by preparing the dishes featured in the stories. All recipes provided are cyanide-free.
Karmen Špiljak writes across different genres. Her short fiction has been awarded and anthologised.

Review:
I am a big fan of short story collections, especially when they involve food and murder. Add Cyanide to Taste by Karmen Špiljak has just that, plus recipes (Cyanide-free, of course)!
There’s many stories in here and there’s a little something for everyone. That’s one of the reasons I enjoy short story collections. Usually, there’s at least one story that stands out. Of course, in this collection, each one stands out in its own way. I’m really impressed with this author’s writing!
I’m really excited to try these recipes. I love the. Anesthesia of some of them, like The Forbidden Pasta. But most of these recipes sound delicious and I’ll be giving them a shot.
Short stories, excellent writing, and recipes for delicious food? I’m in! Check this one out.
