I’m a big fan of Eva Mackenzie. She is one of the authors I don’t hesitate to pick up when I see a new book from her. She never disappoints and If She Only Knew might be my favorite read from her so far! This deserves more than five stars!
First of all, can we talk about this cover. I’m a huge lover of color pops so the red on the black and white has me obsessed. I know you want to know about the words inside, but sometimes covers deserve a highlight.
Starting with a bang, this book keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. As per usual with Eva Mackenzie’s books, I read this in one sitting. So, with that knowledge, I suggest starting this one before bedtime or you’ll lose sleep (like I did…no regrets!)
This story is told from Eden and Layla’s perspectives. I enjoyed figuring out how the stories interconnected. I held my breath a lot during this read. I truly love it when a book gets my heart racing and this one did.
Gripping and addicting, I highly recommend If She Only Knew!!

Eden pulled up next to her at the sink, close enough that Layla felt her breath hot against her cheek, and she whispered in a childlike voice. “I hear them talking.” She tapped her temple with her finger. “You know what they’re saying…Kill Ben, Eden. Kill him.” And she craned her neck back and laughed. She laughed so hard tear streamed down her face.
