Review
I’ve read books by Murray Bailey prior to this and his style shines through in Once A Killer. He writes gritty thrillers with intriguing characters that keep you invested in the book.
I enjoyed the two different paths this story took. It was compelling to watch them weave together into a conclusion. I really enjoyed this tangled web because it wasn’t easy for me to guess what was going on and it kept me invested.
As with all of Murray Bailey’s stories, the characters are very well thought out and lead this story so well. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them through this story, getting to know them.
Overall, Once A Killer was an excellent thriller that I had a hard time setting down. I would definitely recommend giving it a read!
Thank you to the author for the review copy. All opinions are my own and unbiased.

Murray Bailey got his first taste of success when he was published in the Times at 18 and in his local newspaper. Although he went on to pursue a different career, he continued to write and edit and became the editor of an international magazine and editor of 4 technical books. His first work of fiction, I Dare You, was published in 2016 and The Lost Pharaoh continues the ancient Egyptian story glimpsed in Map of the Dead and is his ninth title. Murray was born in Greater Manchester, England and has being moving south ever since. He now lives on the beautiful Dorset coast with his wife and family.
